Upgrading from earlier versions
There is no direct upgrade path, some manual steps are involved :
- We assume that the current installation is under /path/current_ppack, adjust procedure accordingly.
- We assume the version you want to install is version XXYY
- Create a folder /path/ppackXXYY
- Unzip the new product zip file under /path/ppackXXYY
- Copy /path/current_ppack/config/custom/*.conf to /path/ppackXXYY/config/custom/
- Copy /path/ current_ppack/product.lic to /path/ ppackXXYY
- Copy (recursively and merging folders) /path/ current_ppack /data to /path/ ppackXXYY/data
- From /path/ current_ppack /security, recursively copy all files to /path/ ppackXXYY/security
- Ensure file permissions & ownerships in /path/ppackXXYY are set identically to /path/ current_ppack
- Rename /path/current_ppack to /path/ppack.old and /path/ppackXXYY to /path/ current_ppack
- For cell(s) that use ProactivePack event classes, data classes, rules and remote actions, update the following files :
