Upgrading from earlier versions

There is no direct upgrade path, some manual steps are involved :

• We assume that the current installation is under /path/current_ppack, adjust procedure accordingly.
• We assume the version you want to install is version XXYY

Steps :

• Create a folder /path/ppackXXYY and unzip the new product file there.

Unzip the new product zip file under /path/ppackXXYY Copy the following files and folders from /path/current_ppack/config/custom/*.confcurrent_ppack to /path/ppackXXYY/config/custom/ Copy /path/ current_ppack/product.lic to /path/ ppackXXYYppackXXYY
Copy (recursivelyandmergingfolders)File/Folder Comment ./path/config/custom/* current_ppack
./datasecurity make sure to /path/copy ppackXXYYrecursively. ./data Frommake /path/sure current_ppack /security, recursivelyto copy allrecursively. files to ./path/product.lic ppackXXYY/security

• Ensure file permissions & ownerships in /path/ppackXXYY are set identically to /path/ current_ppack
• Rename /path/current_ppack to /path/ppack.old and /path/ppackXXYY to /path/ current_ppack
• For cell(s) that use ProactivePack event classes, data classes, rules and remote actions, update the following files :files.
